1. Public Speaking and Guest Lecturing
Anna and Frances speak frequently together and separately to audiences across the country, from Ivy League lecture halls to farmers’ markets, conferences, and community centers. Both Anna and Frances have guest lectured at colleges and universities and both are available for short academic residencies as well. They have spoken at schools across the country, including Yale University, Allegheny College, New York University, and Santa Clara University, among many others. .Frances has taught at Suffolk University in Boston, Schumacher College in England, and the International College for Sustainable Living in Dehra Dun, India. In addition to public events, the Lappés also regularly offer their services for fundraisers for community-based organizations whose values we share.
Each of our public events is carefully tailored to its audience, and our event managers work closely with the inviting organizations to help ensure the success of each event.

Anna offers a range of workshops about food systems and social change for laypeople and educators alike. Workshops range from one day to three days.
